MATIJAS SLIVNIK

Let me introduce myself… My name is Matijas Slivnik, originally from the Soča Valley (Slovenia). I’m a dad, a partner, and ever since I was a kid, I’ve been deeply in love with nature, outdoor sports, and music.
Years ago, I went through long stretches of anxiety, exhaustion, a racing heart, scattered focus, restless thoughts, and no matter what I tried, sleep just wouldn’t come.

As I started exploring the bigger picture and the deeper layers of what was happening, I discovered new perspectives, especially through natural healing approaches and methods. Little by little, I supported myself, worked on my body, my emotions, and my energy. And slowly, the pieces of the puzzle began to come together.

Today, I share this knowledge and experience with fellow Earthlings, helping them find balance, strength, and clarity on their own paths.

By profession, I am a therapist – a certified naturopath (natural and evidence based healing methods in the field of traditional and clinical naturopathy). I have been working as a therapist for more than a decade (from 2013) and since 2017, I have been running my therapeutic services under my own brand PraNaturas method, helping people, mostly anxious and exhausted parents and also others, to reach their true potencial of health and energy, especially on mental health challenges. I am specialised in area of adrenal fatigue-burnout, anxiety and gastrointestinal disordes.

I have completed an internationally certified study program in Naturopathy. After finishing my studies, I also pursued additional postgraduate training in Clinical Naturopathy (naturopathic professional practice) under Dr. Umberto Villanti from Italy, as well as in Energy Medicine according to the method developed by the Croatian physician, toxicologist, and internationally recognized energy therapist Dr. Suzana Landripet. Through this, I gained valuable knowledge directly from her and further expanded my expertise with additional international education.

I also undertook further advanced training in the field of psychoanalytic psychotherapy through the Institute for Advanced Psychological Studies (from USA).

It is also a great honor for me that I was once part of the Natural Healing VITO team here in Slovenia, where I worked as a therapist of the proprietary manual method – VITO Therapy, and had the opportunity to learn directly from the method’s creator, Vitomir Ravnikar.

I first became aware of many of these fields through my mother, and for that I am sincerely grateful.

From a very young age, I have also been a musician. In 1997, I started playing the drums actively and continued to acquire other musical skills, with professional and academic teachers and as a self-taught musician. A significant portion of my musical knowledge came from my father and my late grandfather. Big thanks to them, I am very grateful for the opportunity to be in music area, and they both gave me the one.

MUSICAL BACKGROUND
I have quite a rich musical history behind me. It all started when I was 3 years old and became more serious at the age of 6 when we formed a family band called 3 Generacije, where I played the drums. We frequently appeared on television and radio shows, one of the more Slovenian well-known being the musical TV show “Orion.”

A few years later, I joined a wind orchestra and soon after, the Jazz Punt Big Band in Tolmin, where I played in the trumpet section for 15 years (I learned to play the trumpet at a music school). During this period, I continued playing drums in rock genres and bands, and for the last 10 years, I actively performed in a pop-rock band where I took on the role of singer and guitarist.

However, I must emphasize that playing drums remains my number one passion in music. Nowadays, I actively play healing and meditatve music on meditative acoustic steel drums, such as the handpan and rav vast. I love creating and playing music in the embrace of nature, where I feel a genuine connection and inner peace. Through this type of music, I express both, my inner and outer worlds. Sound is a primal element, and deep inside, I always feel and know, that it can have a therapeutic effect. So I put it in my therapeutic practise.

You are warmly invited to join me in my musical and therapeutic journey.
